IDC Names Opsware Leader in Worldwide Network Change and Configuration Management Market

Sourced from IDC's Worldwide Network Change and Configuration Management 2007 - 2011 Forecast and Analysis

The 2006 NCCM market grew 112% from 2005 to 2006. All the vendors experienced double-digit growth, with total vendor revenue reaching $72.6 million. Opsware and Voyence together account for almost half of the total market revenue.

Opsware saw the largest gain, more than tripling its revenue share from 9.4% in 2005 to 31.4% 2006. Interestingly, the strong market growth was not due to the major OEM deals that Opsware and Voyence entered into in 2006. These companies, as well as all the others without large OEM deals, grew their revenue based on market demand. However, the OEM deals are expected to have a more significant impact in 2007.
